Terms of Service
The short version
- Collo is a place to share your love of style: your sets, your looks and your fabulous finds.
- What you make is yours. Credit the people and stores your pieces come from by adding the link when you can.
- Be kind, keep it real, and do not post anything that is not yours to share.
- If someone spots their work here without permission, we take it down. No drama.
The full Terms below are the official version, so give them a read too.
These Terms govern your use of Collo, including our website and any related services (together, the “Service”). In these Terms, “Collo,” “we” and “us” mean the operator of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Collo.
1. Who can use Collo
You must be at least 13 years old to use Collo. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Collo with the permission of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
2. Content on Collo is shared by members
Collo is a platform for user-generated content. Sets, photos, captions, comments, uploaded pieces, saved product images, tags and links (together, “Content”) are added by members, not by Collo. Members may upload their own photos or save images of products from third-party websites to use in sets.
Images saved from other websites remain the property of their owners. Collo keeps saved items linked to their original source where one is provided, so people can find the original product. Collo does not claim ownership of images saved by members, and showing an image on Collo does not mean the brand or owner has partnered with or endorsed Collo.
3. Your responsibilities for what you post
When you post or save Content, you confirm that:
- you created it, own it, or otherwise have the right to share it on Collo;
- it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights; and
- it follows these Terms and our community rules below.
When you save an image from another website, add the link to the original product page whenever you can, so the source stays credited.
4. Permission you give Collo
You keep ownership of the Content you create. To run the Service, you give Collo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt (for example, resizing images or removing backgrounds) and distribute your Content within the Service and in promoting Collo. This license ends when you delete the Content or your account, except where others have already shared or remixed it, or where we must keep it for legal reasons.
5. Community rules
To keep Collo welcoming, you agree not to:
- post content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise harmful;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your connection to a brand or person;
- add your own affiliate, referral or tracking links to posts, pieces or tags;
- spam, scrape the Service, or interfere with how it works; or
- use Collo for anything unlawful.
We may remove Content or limit accounts that break these rules.
6. Shopping links and commissions
Some links on Collo lead to third-party stores. Collo may earn a commission when you click through or buy, at no extra cost to you. Collo is not the seller of these products and is not responsible for third-party websites, their products or their terms.
7. Copyright
Collo is all about celebrating great style, and that includes the photographers, designers and brands behind it. If you spot your work here without your permission, we will take it down. Just send us a note through our contact page (choose Copyright).
So we can act quickly, and because the law asks for it, please include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the link to the Content on Collo you want removed;
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Once we have your note, we will remove the post or piece and let the member who shared it know. If something of yours was taken down and you think it was a mistake, tell us through the same contact page with the details the law requires, and we can put it back if the claim is not pursued. Members who repeatedly share other people's work without permission will lose their accounts.
8. Ending your use of Collo
You can stop using Collo at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put the Service or others at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
9. Disclaimers and limits on liability
Collo is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties about the Service, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for Content posted by members or third parties. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or $50.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Collo grows. If we make significant changes, we will let you know on the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use Collo after an update means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
